One of my favorites and the only Korean restaurant in Asheville. Korean food is sooo full of fresh ingredients and veggies combined in such a beautiful way. If you order one of the stone bowl options, it is served in a large sizzling stone bowl filled with fresh veggies, rice, meat of choice & is topped with an egg, that you cook by stirring everything together in the stone bowl. Constant stirring continues to cook and combines the flavors beautifully ( don't forget to add some of the korean chili paste) or you can let the bowl rest to allow the rice to turn into a delicious crunchy crust. Such an interesting and different type of food experience, if you've never tried Korean food. Each stone bowl comes with 5 or 6 different small plated accompaniments that give you a great taste of Korean side dishes. They can be added to the stone bowl or eaten separately. And their kimchi is to die for!
Interesting menu. I'm not familiar enough with Korean cuisine to know how authentic the food was, but my dish was tasty and well presented. The side dishes were very fresh and flavorful. My experience was tainted considerably by the bad service. Our server was efficient, but obviously annoyed and extremely rude. We won't be back if she's there.
